KALAMAZOO, Michigan-Want to reduce your household expenses? Easy. Just look to your toilet, says One2products, the team behind One2flushTM, the first American-made dual flush conversion toilet kit that allows families to control how much water is being used for every flush. Push the handle one way for liquids, the other way for solids, and the two-chamber design knows how much or how little water to use for each flush.

"One2flush was created for families who want to stretch every dollar and conserve water at the same time," says Patrick Hanna, One2products President. "For under $35 dollars, this kit begins to pay for itself with the first flush. Consumers in drought-stricken areas will experience the fastest, most dramatic savings."

Hanna said his product will shake up a decades-old, inefficient toilet-repair market that "is simply not conservation-minded. Until One2flush, you had to buy a new toilet for $500-$750 with a dual conversion system already installed to achieve the same water and dollar savings. But for the tens of millions of homeowners who want to keep their existing toilets, our conversion kit is the key," he said. Hanna says his product is easy to install with simple household tools. "We want DIYers--male and female homeowners--to know they can do this," he said. An instructional video featuring a woman installing the unit is available at the company's website, along with step-by-step instructions on the packaging which, Hanna points out, is made from 100% recycled material and soy inks.

The Environmental Protection Agency says toilets account for nearly 30% of indoor water consumption in American homes and that old, inefficient toilets are responsible for the majority of the water wasted - 200 gallons a day each in some cases. And according to the U.S. Government Accountability Office, 36 states anticipate water shortages over the next five years. "Stop flushing money down the toilet," Hanna says. "Our product will help you give that old toilet new life, keep it out of a landfill, and help reduce the demands on your local wastewater treatment facility or septic system," he said. "Our company wants to help America preserve its precious resources and here in Michigan, where we border three of the five Great Lakes, water is a great place to start."

The One2flush dual flush conversion kit will fit most two-piece toilets. For tank specifications, consumers can go to www.one2flush.com/installation.
